Vagonetto goes digital-At last

As of October 5, Vagonetto's new digital installations are open to the public.

The brand new, cutting edge technology presentation of the Big Bang, the drilling for bauxite and the history of miners is fully operational.

Weekend and holiday entrance fees for adults/children are 19/14 euros respectively. Discount rates apply midweek.

Trade Fair - Panorama

During the travel trade fair Panorama, held in May at the Pallini Exhibition, Vagonetto was graciously hosted at the stand of Fokida Prefecture.

The show was very successful and visitors expressed their interest and satisfaction to suppliers from all over Greece.

Fokida will be the honoured Prefecture in 2010 and a number of festivities and celebrations are under way.

Visitors were particularly interested in Vagonetto, being the only Theme Park in the country, and everyone is anxious to visit the new digital installations, due late this month.

Historic Acropolis Rally

The famous Historic Acropolis Rally, will take place during May 6-11.

The ceremonial start of the race is on May 7 at the footsteps of Acropolis and the actual start is on May 8 at the Olympic Stadium in Athens. First car to cross the ramp at 08.00 hrs.

There will be some 22 special stages (SS) that fifty fourcompetitors will have to challenge each other for the victory.

A large part of the rally will take place near Vagonetto. Don't miss the Gravia SS.

If you are in Fokida and would like to do something off the beaten track, here is an excellent suggestion.

Start by taking yourselves to Kirra, the ancient port of Delphi. Kirra is now part of the greater Itea and it will serve as your starting point, for an outstanding hiking experience.

The tour is a rather mild uphill walk. You will need about 3-31/2 hours to get yourselves to Delphi.
Walk through eleonas - the olive trees field-, then on to the village of Chrisso. Take a rest over a cup of coffee at the village and then on to Delphi.
If you are worried how to get back to Itea, there is regular bus commuting from Delphi.

St. Valentine's day - Festivities in Itea

On Saturday, February 14th, period of Greek Carnival festivities, a theme party is organized in Itea by the "KALLITECHNIKO ERGASTIRI " - Art-craft Workshop. The theme is LOVE. What else could it be?

"Kallitechniko Ergastiri" is an active private institution, teaching dance lovers across Fokida. There are some great performers of Greek, Latin and ballroom dances.

The event will take place in restaurant Diogenis. Participants will be charged a fee of Euro 17 per person. Wine is included in the price.
