If you are in Fokida and would like to do something off the beaten track, here is an excellent suggestion.
Start by taking yourselves to Kirra, the ancient port of Delphi. Kirra is now part of the greater Itea and it will serve as your starting point, for an outstanding hiking experience.
The tour is a rather mild uphill walk. You will need about 3-31/2 hours to get yourselves to Delphi.
Walk through eleonas - the olive trees field-, then on to the village of Chrisso. Take a rest over a cup of coffee at the village and then on to Delphi.
If you are worried how to get back to Itea, there is regular bus commuting from Delphi.
